About Svaneke Is

At our dairy in Svaneke, Denmark’s smallest, but possibly most picturesque market town, we produce our superior quality ice cream.  We believe in the Danish dairy ice cream tradition – but our eyes are also wide open to how ice cream is made in other parts of the world. And it’s no secret that we picked up a fair bit of know-how from specialists in the USA and not least in Italy, since the Italians claim to make the world’s best ice cream, gelato. But Svaneke Is is not gelato! We make good, old-fashioned ice cream.

100% SVANEKE IS
Our claim to 100% FLAVOUR means that we aim for Svaneke Is to come as close as possible to the ultimate flavour experience. Nordic fruits, berries and herbs are the main theme, but we also use spices from exotic locations and countries far remote from Denmark.

And it’s a given that all our products must be made without artificial additives, artificial flavours, colouring or preserving agents. This is why we claim 100% PURITY for our ices.

Producing an uncompromising dairy ice cream means that we have to make strict demands of both our suppliers and business partners, and we like to set our own good example to ensure that our ambitions and requirements are fulfilled. So when we claim 100% QUALITY it is to emphasize that we strive constantly to live up to our own expectations – and make every effort to ensure that our suppliers understand and support our mission.
