Nordic fruits and berries

Svaneke ice creams have a special Nordic flavor. We use fruits and berries cultivated in orchards and kitchen gardens, or which grow naturally in the forests and along the shores of the Nordic countries.

But a wide variety of exotic fruits and berries also grow on Bornholm. So if you visit us on a day when we have local varieties at the ices counter, then don’t miss out on the delights of our dairy ice cream with mulberries from Lille Plads - or perhaps figs from Listed?

Unfortunately, no one has yet managed to grow vanilla on Bornholm. Which is why we source our vanilla from where it is best made – Tahiti. This is the home of the very finest vanilla orchid with its juicy, aromatic stalks bursting with large grains.

Our chocolate is also made from some of the finest cocoa beans in the world, namely Valrhona chocolate with no less than 80% cocoa content.
